Around the Brazos Valley: Halloween Weekend and November Happenings in Bryan-College Station
Welcome to Around the Brazos Valley, a weekly guide from Southern Luxe Group to what's happening in Bryan, College Station and the surrounding communities.
Halloween lands on a Saturday this year, and Bryan–College Station is ready for it. Here's what's going on this weekend and into the first week of November, from trunk-or-treats and farmers markets to the season's next First Friday in Historic Downtown Bryan.
Saturday, October 31: Halloween
Trunk or Treat So Kids Can Eat
One of Bryan's favorite Halloween traditions returns to the Bryan High School parking lot from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Expect decorated cars for trunk-or-treating, plus family activities. Admission is five canned goods per person, all donated to the Brazos Valley Food Bank. Costumes are encouraged. (Details: City of Bryan)
Halloween Harvest Fest at Aggieland Safari

Friday, November 6: First Friday in Historic Downtown Bryan
On the first Friday of every month, Main Street and Bryan Avenue turn into a free street festival with live music, art, local shopping and food. Things get going around 5 p.m., and many downtown shops stay open late. If you're coming from campus, a free shuttle has been running from Texas A&M's Memorial Student Center to the Roy Kelly Parking Garage downtown. Check Destination Bryan for this month's lineup.
Local spotlight: Messina Hof Winery
Looking for a grown-up plan this fall? Messina Hof, the family-owned winery on Old Reliance Road in Bryan, is a longtime local favorite for tastings, dinner and a little Texas wine country without leaving town. Check their calendar for seasonal tours and events.
Day trip idea: the Texas Renaissance Festival
About an hour southeast of Bryan–College Station, the Texas Renaissance Festival in Todd Mission is open weekends through November 29. This weekend's theme is All Hallows Eve. See our 2026 Renaissance Festival guide for dates, tickets and tips.
